Money as an organizing and distributing force for the goods and services in our society is heavily centralized. We need to consider mechanisms, which decentralize this enormous power. Money as we know it may not be the answer. Since money is just a social-cognitive method / tool to organize the transfer of wealth, a solution to the centralization dilemma has to be formulated at the same social-psychological level. Giving may be considered the smallest unit of analysis to start from.
The liberation of this fundamental act in human interaction from the limiting constraints of ex-change, the reciprocation model, will have to occur on many levels, be they economic, legal, social and psychological. The principal liberating force, however, needs to be psychological: A thorough understanding of the purpose of unconditional-, or absolute giving.
